The Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing both the Gage and Metallurgical Laboratories in our Saco facilities.
The primary objective of the role is to manage the site calibration recall system as well as the periodic and lot testing that is conducted in the Metallurgical Lab.
This individual will be the external calibration coordinator as well as the site representative for Nadcap certified processes.
Quality functions reporting to the Laboratory Manager include metallurgists, laboratory support specialists and gage & tool inspectors.
Major Position ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for Gage and Metallurgical Laboratories; periodic test management; external calibration management (requisition generation, cert review, gage recall system data entry and management).
Supervise salaried and hourly direct reports, conduct team meetings, write/deliver performance feedback, reviews/check ins, safety notices, attend staff meetings.
Participates in and leads internal audits, 8D and other problem-solving teams, Corrective Action Boards, lean steering teams.
Helps generate/report metrics (OPS and internal monthly metrics) and countermeasures.
Basic QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor's Degree Major in Engineering or SciencePreferred Education:
Master's DegreePreferred CertificationsASQ, CQE, CMQOE and/or Greenbelt/BlackbeltYears and Area of Experience5 years minimum in a quality assurance roleKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Previous managerial experience preferredMicrosoft Office:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
