(MMQCI), located in Saco, Maine, designs, develops, manufactures, and sells unique quality control products used by hospital laboratories and manufacturers to monitor the accuracy of tests for genetic, oncologic, and infectious diseases.
MMQCI has patented technologies to stabilize DNA and RNA for use as quality controls and continues to pursue the discovery of novel techniques useful for the development of new quality control products.

POSITION TITLE:
Production Fill Assistant GENERAL
Summary:
The production assistants perform a variety of tasks at a fast pace as integral part of a team.
In this position you will support the manufacture of products for MMQCI customers including labeling product tubes, bottle assembly and kitting of final products.
Much of the work is performed in modern clean room laboratory environments where gowning and aseptic technique are required.
The position requires an individual who is well-organized and can perform detailed tasks with dexterity.
Once trained successful Production Assistants function independently with minimal supervision.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Follows written, detailed instructions and works in clean room environment, gowned, following aseptic techniques.
Requires standing or sitting for several hours working on precise items Carefully assembles small tubes, bottles, and caps using aseptic technique while working in a laminar flow cabinet or room Labels small tubes and bottles by hand, quickly with accuracy Prepares, prints and precisely folds product inserts for customer products Kitting:
Labeling small boxes with precision, places appropriate tubes or bottles and package inserts in the kit Assists production technicians when filling of product.
Stages tubes for filling and closes tubes once filled Performs miscellaneous support functions as needed Follows MMQCI quality system in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School diploma is required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Work experience in a position requiring fine motor skills, accuracy and attention to detail is required.
Work experience in a laboratory setting as a Production Assistant a plus.
Familiarity with working with DNA- and RNA-based products and/ or in a clean room environment is a plus.
Ability to perform fine procedures quickly, accurately with attention to detail.
Good communication skills, written and oral, has basic computer skills, including Excel.
Experience in a GMP or ISO industrial environment is preferred.
Must be a nonsmoker due to product contamination prevention requirements.
Must have sufficiently accurate color vision to correctly identify various cap and text colors used for MMQCI products.
A brief test will be administered during the job interview.
Must be able to stand or sit working at a laboratory hood for several hours and lift approximately 30 lbs.
